Saturday Afternoon Winterspell - Set Championship

About this Event

Registration will be limited to 16 seats. We will not be opening to more than 16. If event is full, we will have a waitlist in the store you can put your name on the day of. Registration hard cut off is 3:00. Anyone not in-store and registered at 3:00 will not be allowed to participate. As per Ravensburger policy, anyone who is allowed to enter the store will be welcome for tournaments and events. **Format** This will be run as a Swiss tournament, played as Best-of-3. Each round is 50-minutes in length. The number of rounds in the tournament will depend on the number of participants. Playoff rounds will be played after the Swiss rounds including players with the highest standings. The playoffs are best-of-3, single-elimination rounds until one player is crowned as the tournament champion. 8 players: 3 rounds, no cut 9-16 players: 4 rounds, cut to top 4 **Prizing** In addition to official prizing, three booster packs will be added to the prize pool for each participant. The bulk of booster packs will distributed amongst the top 8 players. Additional prizing and promos may be added on and announced on the day of the event. 1st place: Champion playmat, 1 foil promo card, & Whispers in the Well Booster Packs 2nd place: 1 Promo Card + Whispers in the Well Booster Packs 3rd-8th place: 1 Promo Card + Whispers in the Well Booster Packs 9th-16th place: 1 Promo card + 1 Whispers in the Well Booster Pack. *** Booster pack prizing will be dependent on number of participants.*** **Deck rules** This tournament is Constructed (Core) format. Each player must bring one deck containing a minimum of 60 cards to the event that they have built ahead of time. There is no maximum deck size, but the player must be able to shuffle their deck in a timely manner without assistance. Constructed decks must not contain cards from more than two ink colors. Constructed decks cannot contain more than four of a single card as identified by its full English card name. Character cards with different subtitles are considered different cards for purposes of this rule. For example, a deck may contain up to four copies of Ariel – On Human Legs as well as up to four copies of Ariel – Spectacular Singer. All released cards are legal for this event. You must use the same deck for the duration of the event. Decklist submission will be required. Please submit a hardcopy of your decklist during registration.
