Tonight's event is the cool new **Storybook** format - a multiplayer format created by Tim! See the rules below. Entry is still $15, and you will get 2 prize boosters at the end of the evening for playing, as well as random promos given out during the night. **STORYBOOK** New Lorcana free-for-all format designed by Tim M. No. of players: 3-4 Deck size: 80 cards Legality: Infinity Ink colours: up to 3 *Deckbuilding:* When constructing your deck, choose a dual-ink character*, or one of the 6 Champions from Set 10 to be your Protagonist and one of the Set 7 Coil cards to be your Coil. These two choices determine the ink colours you may include in your deck. For example, you could build a deck around Minnie Mouse - Daring Defender and Emerald Coil, giving you access to Amber, Ruby, and Emerald cards while deckbuilding. You could choose the Ruby Coil instead, but then you would only be able include Amber and Ruby cards in your deck. Your deck must contain exactly 79 cards + your protagonist, and you may only include a single copy of each card. *Protagonist:* Your Protagonist counts towards your deck size, but begins outside the game in a zone called the Storybook. You may play your Protagonist from the Storybook at any time you could normally play a character. It does not count as being in your hand for the purpose of abilities. At the end of a turn in which a Protagonist is banished, their player may return them to their Storybook from the discard pile. The next time they are played from the Storybook, they cost two ink additional ink for each time they have already been played from the Storybook during this game. Whenever the Protagonist goes back to the Storybook, place them face down. At the start of your turn, turn them face up. You cannot play your Protagonist when it’s face down. Playing a Protag from hand doesn’t incur an additional ink cost, no matter how many times you played them. *Coil:* Each player always has access to the ability of their chosen Coil. Although the item card itself is used to represent the ability, the Coil that a player brings to the game is not a card, and cannot be chosen by actions or abilities. The printed Coil abilities are modified in the following ways: - You may only resolve the effects of your Coil once per turn. Exert the card to represent this. - The Emerald Coil ability text is changed to read *"'..chosen character gains Evasive this turn"*, instead of *"...chosen character gains Evasive until the start of your next turn."* *Play modifications:* The first player skips their first draw. In a four player game, the last player in turn rotation may ink an additional card during their first turn. *The Giant Cobra is banned from being your Protagonist.
